Very K-tel-like

Yep, when I saw this, I figured for sure it was a K-tel compilation album, but no... It certainly has all the K-tel trademarks, though.

Nice selection of wacky numbers on this Juke Box International album[s]. Let's zoom in on that disclaimer under the tracklistings...

B'oh! :p

  1. Way late to the party...Disco Party, that is! I knew that label symbol looked familiar, and I seem to recall it from one of those disco "greatest non-stop hits" records I played to death when I was a kid. I can't remember the exact title, but I do remember Johnny Bristol's "Hang On In There Baby" and Ralph Carter's "When You're Young and In Love" on there, as well as the infamous Donna Summer's "Love to Love You Baby." I played Bristol's track the most, followed by Ms. Summer, and a disco version of "What a Difference a Day Makes." If I recall, it cost a whole $4.95!

  2. Yes, the price on a lot of these compilations was one of the best things about them. ;) Lots of hits for a low price.
